Great Historical footage
Great Historical footage. I am having problems uploading it to my files to share with the Long Beach Historical Society. It is difficult to determine in which cities the scenes portary.
Shotlist
00:00 Aerial of Hollywood, California; Paramount Studios probably visible; W.H. Clune Studios (now Raleigh Studios) visible in lower left corner at end.
00:33 Flood in urban area. Possibly Los Angeles flood of 1938, or Long Beach Flood of 1939 (caused by Los Angeles Tropical Storm), or both. Footage is multi-generational dupe. Cars and buses driving through flooded streets; rescuing people from flooded houses; boats in streets; Hotel Antler visible; Venetian Square, Long Beach; Los Angeles River; more.
2:47 end usable material
